Nö. Da steht nämlich nix von IP Adressen. Da steht ein Beispiel mit einem
Hostnamen:

... they disable MX lookups for mail.office.example.com. Without the
brackets, Postfix would look for the MX record for
mail.office.example.com.

und das stimmt. Tatsächlich deaktivieren die [] auch den MX Lookup, aber
für IPs ist er halt unbedingt nötig, da für IPs gar kein MX lookup
definiert ist bzw. nicht funktioniert.

Aber das steht ja auch - wie Peer gesagt hat - in der Doku:

In the case of SMTP, specify a service on a non-default port as
host:service, and disable MX (mail exchanger) DNS lookups with [host] or
[host]:port.

([] deaktiviert MX lookups)

The [] form is required when you specify an IP address instead of a hostname.

(und bei IPs braucht man es zwingend)
