Wie ich in der anderen Mail schon schrieb, ist das falsch. Zu beachten ist 
wohl: "Only one option may be used at a time...".

Wo ist das denn her? "plain" und "login" haben nichts mit saslauthd zu tun. 
Hier wird vermutlich die "-O" Option zusammengebaut. Die ist nur bei rimap 
und ldap wichtig. "man saslauthd"
