9.3 hat einen 2.6'er Kernel. Was wurde sonst noch auf dem System 
"verändert" (wollte gerade schon gefummelt schreiben).

Was für Versionen sind installiert?

Cyrus-Imapd, BDB/DB ? Sind das normale SuSE-Pakete (passend zur 9.3) oder 
woher kommen die?

Das ist nicht wild.

Dieses "Invalid Argument" im Zusammenhang mit BerkeleyDB kommt meist, wenn mit 
den Versionen was nicht stimmt. Cyrus ist mit der einen erstellt und eine 
andere ist installiert.
