Aha, das kopiert per ftp die Daten in der Userdir.
Das hatte ich auch mal.

Ich denke da fehlte damals der Befehl, der eine vacation.db entweder
erzeugt (mit vacation -I) oder eine vorerzeugte dorthinkopiert.

Ja klar. Die Datei muss auch mal gelöscht werden.
